Maths Doesn’t Have to Be Scary

Ask a room full of people how they feel about maths and you’ll hear a lot of groans. Most of those groans come from one bad experience, a teacher who moved too fast or a chapter that never quite made sense. Math Baba is our small attempt to fix that. We explain topics slowly, with real examples, until the “oh, that’s all it is?” moment finally arrives.

Why “Baba”?

In many homes, there’s one elder who patiently sits beside a child and says, “Come, let’s do it together.” That’s the feeling we’re after. We’re not here to show off clever tricks or to rush you through a syllabus. We’d rather sit beside you, go step by step, and make sure you understand before moving on.

What You’ll Find Here

The site is built for school students, exam candidates, and grown-ups who want to brush up. We cover:

  • Basic arithmetic, fractions, percentages, and ratios.
  • Algebra, geometry, and introductory trigonometry.
  • Worked examples with every step written out.
  • Mental maths shortcuts that actually save time.
  • Study tips and ways to stay calm before tests.

How We Write Our Lessons

Each lesson starts with the idea in plain words, followed by an example, then another slightly harder one. We try to explain why a method works, not only how to follow it, because memorising steps without understanding them falls apart the moment a question is worded differently. If a lesson seems unclear, we rewrite it.

A Fair Word About Limits

Math Baba is a learning aid, not a school, a coaching centre, or a substitute for your teacher. Syllabuses differ between boards and countries, so please check that a topic matches what you’re studying. We work hard to keep our solutions correct, but mistakes can slip in, and we’d like you to point them out when you find one.

Not Connected to Any Board or Exam Body

We’re an independent website. We have no official link with any education board, university, or examination authority, and we can’t predict or guarantee what will appear in any exam. Use our lessons for practice and understanding, and always follow the guidance of your own school.

For Parents and Teachers

You’re welcome to use our pages alongside your own teaching. Many parents tell us they use the worked examples to help with homework without having to relearn everything themselves. That makes us happy.

Say Hello

Stuck on a topic, or found a mistake? Use the Contact Us page and let us know. Some of our best lessons began as a student’s question.

Keep practising, and don’t be afraid of getting things wrong. That’s how everyone learns.
